Home-Start is a voluntary organisation offering support, friendship and practical help to families at home with children under five. Here at Home-Start West Somerset, we support families from Minehead to Watchet and from Porlock to Dulverton, etc. We also have an outreach worker in Bridgwater.

Swine Flu

The welfare and safety of all our volunteers and families is very important to us, and of course our families include young children, so, although we hope that there will not be a problem, we would ask you to take special precautions against swine flu.

As well as following the Government's advice about hygiene precautions, if you know that you have been in contact within the previous week with someone who has swine flu, or if you start to suffer from some of the symptoms, please do not visit your Home-Start family until you are sure that you have recovered. Also, to safeguard you and to help prevent the spread of this flu, could you please ask the family you visit to ring the Home-Start West Somerset office to postpone your next visit if they suspect that anyone in the family may be suffering from some of these symptoms.
