The Dad Club project is developed by Home-Start West Somerset. Our aim is to connect dads across West Somerset and offer various ways to help and support.
The Dad Club – Walk and Talks
Enjoy a walk, a chat and some company Join us for casual dad walks along
the seafront. It’s a great chance to get outdoors, share stories and meet other dads. We finish the walk with a couple of pints, making it a nice way to unwind and build connections in a relaxed setting.
The Dad Barber – Pop-Up Barber Shops
Good haircuts and good conversations Our pop-up barber shops are open to all dads who want a fresh cut in a friendly environment.
The Dad Club – Getting Involved
We also organise trips out, including free tickets to sporting events and other activities. These outings are a chance to enjoy shared experiences and meet new people in a friendly environment.
One-to-One Support
For those who want a bit of extra support If you’re looking for some one-on-one support or just someone to talk to, I’m here to help. This is a relaxed, no pressure space where you can share whatever you feel comfortable with, at your own pace.

Hi, my name is Dan and I’ve lived in Minehead all my life. I am passionate about my community and helping people. I’ve been working with Home-Start West Somerset since April 2025 as the Dad Coordinator. I also work as a hair stylist and in mental health.
