Christmas Hampers 2020

Monday 21st December saw Home-Start West Somerset staff and volunteers at the Minehead Eye packing and distributing nearly 50 Christmas hampers to the families they support across West Somerset. The hampers included all that is needed for a Christmas lunch as well as lots of lovely extras and presents for the children. Families also received a food box from Alcombe Food Bank so a big thank you to them for these and their support throughout the year.

Home-Start West Somerset would like to say a big Thank you to Greenslade Taylor Hunt for their £1000 donation that helped enormously with the provision of hampers and also to the Somerset Community Foundation, Kingspan and Jane and Colin Chaplinson for their wonderful donations.

Also a big thank you to all the volunteers who helped on the day, Minehead Eye for the use of their premises, Morrisons Minehead for all their wonderful fresh produce, groceries and toys, Snazaroo for face paints First Print for place mats, Wooten Courtenay Villagers for toys, The factory Shop for toys and Beauty at Papillions for their customer beauty donations, as well as many other who have contributed in various ways.

Messages of thanks have already been received from several families, including the following appreciative text message “Thank you soo much… I mean, wow! Not what I was expecting at all, it actually left me a little speechless… we are beyond grateful – my waistline not so much lol. Hugs and lots of love”.
